Aftermath and Success

💜October 8th – Relief💜

Lennyn’s endoscopic third ventriculostomy with choroid plexus cauterization (ETV/CPC) was successful. What our surgeon thought originally may not be able to be done, was done successfully and we are relieved. We’re praying for a quick recovery. Lennyn will follow up with Neurosurgery biweekly for a year. If she makes it to one year with no complications or failures to surgery, Doctor says we could be shunt free.

Dr. Haridas, thank you for going against the odds and giving our baby a chance. There needs to be more physicians in pediatrics like you.

Even if Lennyn ends up needing a shunt, Seth and I would just like to remind parents how important it is to do your research, get second opinions, educate yourself, and TRULY ADVOCATE for your children. Sometimes the routine route isn’t the best answer. Fight for your babies when they don’t have a voice for themself.

Seth, I’m so friggen proud of us. We have a LONG road ahead of us but I know we are making the best decisions for Lennyn. I love you.
